Sudanese Kirkir (vangurria madagascariensis), also called the (Spanish Tamarind), is native to Southern Kordofan, Sudan. It grows mostly in Dilling Area in of South Kordofan state. It is a fruit of the Karkar tree. It has good chemical properties that enable it to lower blood sugar, regulate blood pressure, and eliminate some harmful germs. It is eaten as a fruit because it tastes sweet. Some experiments have also shown that it burns fat in the body.
